Hambacher Musikfest

The HAMBACHERMusikFEST was established in 1997 under the artistic direction of the Mandelring Quartet. Since then the ensemble has invited well known national and international musicians to Hambach, which is situated on the German Wine Street. The Mandelring Quartet together, with their guests, arrange a very varied chamber music festival. Works of unknown composers are regularly performed as well as those which, because of their musical casting, are seldom heard in concert halls. Not less important, in the years since it was founded, the HAMBACHERMusikFEST has commissioned a series of compositions which have been performed within the framework of the festivals.
